Estate Letters (estateletters.com) is operated by Office Optim Lead Generation LLC, doing business as Estate Letters. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it.
Free letters stay on your device
When you fill in the form and print or copy letters yourself, everything happens in your browser. Nothing you type, including a Social Security number, is sent to us.
What we collect when you order mailing
- The text of each letter, which can include the deceased person's name, dates, Social Security number, account numbers and addresses.
- Your name, mailing address and the email you give at checkout.
- The copies you upload, such as a death certificate, photo ID and proof of authority.
- Order details: what was mailed, to whom, and USPS tracking information.
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
Only to print and mail your letters, show you their status, answer your questions, and keep basic business and tax records. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the providers below.
Who we share it with
- Stripe to process payment.
- Our print and mail provider to print your letters and copies and hand them to USPS.
- Vercel, which hosts the site and stores orders until they are mailed.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Letter text and uploaded copies are deleted from our systems once your letters have been sent to print. We keep the order record (recipient company, city, tracking number, amount paid and your email) for our business records. Our print and mail provider and Stripe keep their own records under their policies.
Security
The site uses HTTPS. Orders are stored in private storage that is not publicly reachable, and your order page is only reachable through its unique link. No system is perfectly secure, so please share only what the letters need.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your order record or tell you what we hold by emailing info@estateletters.com. The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 about themselves.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
