Terms of Service
Last updated November 8, 2026
Estate Letters (estateletters.com) is operated by Office Optim Lead Generation LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as Estate Letters ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms.
What we do
We provide a tool that fills in standard letters notifying credit bureaus, banks and other companies of a death. Creating and downloading letters is free. If you choose, we print your letters with the copies you upload and send them by USPS Certified Mail with an electronic return receipt, for the price shown at checkout.
We are not a law firm
Estate Letters is a document preparation and mailing service. We do not give legal, tax or financial advice, and using the site does not create an attorney-client relationship. The letters are general templates. Whether they fit your situation, and what the law requires of you as a family member, executor or administrator, depends on your state and the estate. If you are unsure, speak to a probate attorney.
Your responsibilities
- You are authorized to notify these companies on behalf of the person who died, for example as surviving spouse, executor, administrator, trustee or next of kin.
- The information and documents you provide are true and accurate, including names, dates, account numbers and addresses.
- You review each letter before paying. We print and mail what you submit. We do not check that a company's address is current or that it will act on the letter.
Payment, mailing and refunds
- Prices are shown before you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe at checkout.
- We send paid letters to print within two business days. Delivery times depend on USPS.
- If a letter cannot be mailed because of a problem on our side, we will retry or refund that letter.
- If you contact us before your letters have gone to print, we will refund the order in full. Once a letter has been printed and handed to USPS, it cannot be recalled or refunded.
- We are not responsible for how a recipient responds, for USPS delays or loss, or for mail returned because of an address you entered.
Limitation of liability
The site and service are provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including any effect on an estate or a credit file.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to send letters about a person who has not died, to impersonate someone, or for any unlawful purpose. We may refuse or cancel an order we believe is fraudulent, and refund it.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming.
